Sight-Lines

At Henry James, we know that our customers choose sash windows to maintain or simulate a period style. We are careful to ensure that all of our profiles look as "real" as possible and have challenged ourselves to create windows which are indistinguishable from original timber sliding sash windows.

We offer large and small sash profiles to fit into customers' budgets and requirements.  Large sash profiles are generally chosen to provide equal sight-lines which give the most authentic appearance, and in order to enhance authenticity, we recommend the option of deep bottom rails.

Outer Frame

The Elegance outer frame is 146mm deep in order to match closely the windows produced by craftsmen in years gone by, whilst the Univeral outer frame is 112mm - suitable in a wider variety of installations.  The Classic outer frame is 133mm deep and gives a more modern appearance.

Fully Reinforced

All of our PVCu profiles are fully reinforced.  This ensures that the profiles do not bend with the weight of the double glazed units or with the force of the weather and that they provide a solid foundation for affixing the hardware.

Full reinforcement is another reason why we can confidently offer a ten year warranty on all our PVCu windows.
