Georgian Bars

We offer two Georgian bar options to enhance the authentic look of our PVCu sash windows and to assist with matching your existing fenestration.

Surface Mounted Bars

These most closely match a genuine sash window design.  The bars are fixed to the outside of the external and internal surfaces of the glazing.  As our windows operate smoothly, there is no need to use these bars to open and shut the sashes, but they are strong enough to resist such man-handling and won't become detached.

Internal Bars

Some customers prefer internal Georgian bars to make window cleaning easier.  We are very happy to offer this option, although it is unlikely that internal bars would be acceptable where Local Government is involved with listed buildings or in conservation areas.
