Energy Efficient PVCu Windows
Part L of the latest building regulations (April 2006) insists that all fenestration products provide strict energy efficiency ratings. All of our windows achieve a minimum of a C rating. We achieve this through buying only from reputable manufacturers who:
- Build accurately to the dimensions given by our customers or established through our surveys
- Use effective measures to ensure all joints are well sealed
- Use top quality brush piles
- Use weatherseals all around the window
- Offer foam baffles for windows to be installed in areas subject to severe weather conditions
- Use 24mm, K, low E, double glazed units
- Hand finish the windows
Five Chambers
The profiles of the Elegance range is constructed of five chambers. This enhances its thermal efficiency through creating additional thermal breaks between the in and outside of the window. The five chamber system is particularly useful for larger windows for both this reason, and because it provides additional strength to the window.
